Privacy & Terms

Last updated: April 2026

1. Privacy Policy

lost-my-wallet.com processes encrypted wallet files submitted by authorized owners for the sole purpose of password recovery via GPU dictionary + rule-based attacks. We collect the minimum data necessary:

  • The encrypted wallet file (deleted within 24 hours of job completion)
  • Your email for password delivery
  • Optional password hints you provide (words, dates, patterns)
  • Payment transaction metadata (transaction ID, blockchain, timestamp)
  • IP address and user agent for abuse prevention (retained 30 days)

We never extract private keys from your wallet file. Only the password hash is derived server-side; private keys remain inside the encrypted wallet and cannot be recovered without the password.

2. Terms of Service

By using lost-my-wallet.com you confirm that:

  • You are the legitimate owner of the wallet file you upload.
  • You agree that unauthorized wallet recovery is theft and is prosecutable under criminal law in all jurisdictions.
  • You understand the service is provided on a best-effort basis with no guaranteed success — typical success rates are 40-60% for human-chosen passwords.
  • You understand that strong random passwords (20+ truly random characters) are effectively unrecoverable.
  • You accept our refund policy for unsuccessful recoveries.

3. Ownership verification

We may request proof of ownership (transaction history, wallet origination emails, associated exchange accounts) for high-value wallets or in response to ownership disputes. Providing fraudulent proof of ownership is a criminal offense.

4. Limitation of liability

lost-my-wallet.com is not liable for lost funds from wallets where recovery was unsuccessful, for theft of wallets that were uploaded without authorization by the true owner, or for any taxation/regulatory obligations related to the wallet contents.

5. Abuse policy

This service operates anonymously. We do not retain wallet files after recovery completes and we do not store submitter identity beyond the email used for password delivery. Submission of a wallet you do not own is a violation of these terms; recovered passwords for unauthorized submissions will not be delivered.

By using lost-my-wallet.com you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to both the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.
